Coming soon to a phone near you

PayPal has begun testing a new service which allow you to make and receive payments using cell phones and other mobile devices. Amanda Pires, a spokeswoman for eBay, said that service will be available in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom in the next few weeks.

All you have to do is send the product code as a text message and the item will be delivered to your doorstep.

    I can see this being useful if you’ve forgotten your wallet (as I am prone to do on occasion). Can’t imagine ever forgetting my cell phone anywhere!

    Expect an increase in cell phone theft now. Let’s hope we don’t start saving our passwords and Paypal info on our phones. :p
